CSMTA to Partially Fund NCTM Teacher Certification Fee

CSMTA will fund one-half of the MTNA Teacher Certification fee for a member of the Colorado Local Association with the highest percentage of members present at the 2015 CSMTA conference. Come to CSMTA State Conference and bring your Local Association friends along!

Colorado winners at MTNA 2015 Division Competition

Congratulations to the following students and teachers for representing Colorado at the MTNA West Central Division Competition in North Dakota this weekend. Every student from Colorado who performed received Winner, Alternate or Honorable Mention!

Elementary Composition: WINNER. Patrick McBrayer  (teacher: Gabrielle Dugan)

Junior Performance Piano: Honorable Mention. Anna Damerau (teacher: Natalia Sim)

Senior Performance Piano: Honorable Mention. John-Micah Braswell (teacher: Vergie Amendola)

Colorado student wins Composition Competition

Patrick McBrayer, student of Gabrielle Dugan in Durango, has won the West Central Division Elementary Composition Competition.

The MTNA Composition Competition is a three-stage competition-State, Division and National. Patrick 's composition was the Colorado State Elementary Composition Winner, and the West Central Division (8 states) Elementary Composition Winner. He will compete at the MTNA Final Elementary Composition round at the MTNA Conference in Las Vegas in March 2015.
