2015 CSMTA Concerto Competition Repertoire
We are delighted to announce the repertoire for the 2015 CSMTA Concerto Competition (see below). The Competition Winners Concert will be hosted by the Denver School for the Arts, 7111 Montview Blvd., Denver CO 80220 on Feb. 21, 2015. (Dress rehearsal will be in the same venue on Friday, Feb. 20. Winners must be available for the rehearsal and the concert). Located at the old Lamont School of Music campus, this is a more central location than recent past venues. We have also changed the winner’s concert to 4 PM in consideration of students/their families and teachers driving long distances to perform and/or attend this event.
This year, in addition to the three piano divisions, the non-piano rotation will feature Vocal and String Divisions. We have opened the age level for string to include Middle School and Junior High as well as High School students this year. Judges may choose separate winners in the vocal and string divisions as well as the piano divisions for a total of up to 5 winners. Applications are due by Jan. 7, 2015 and the judge’s decisions will be announced approximately one week after the application deadline.
